History Of Mr. Pumpkin 2

After making Mr. Pumpkin Adventure, we worked through a number of new projects, gradually accumulating experience as game developers. Still, both myself and my team – as well as most of our fans – felt that Mr. Pumpkin was too memorable a character to only have one story. One day, for whatever reason, while having lunch at a Hong Kong restaurant, I snapped some photos and scribbled sketches of Mr. Pumpkin onto them. From then on, every time I thought of those photographs I would think about how strongly Hong Kong culture had impacted me. I knew that Hong Kong would be my first choice for the setting of any future Mr. Pumpkin adventures. Kowloon Walled City, once filled with the agony and despair, love and justice of its inhabitants, vanished long ago. The Walled City could never represent all of Hong Kong, but in its stories we can see a reflection of much of Hong Kong’s history. I made Mr. Pumpkin 2 to share these stories with all of you.

About Cotton Game

Cotton Game was established in 2013 by a group of indie game lovers in Shanghai. The studio is known for its puzzle adventure games that combine mind-bending mysteries with a unique artistic style. In 2015, Cotton Game released their first point-and-click title, Mr. Pumpkin Adventure, then quickly followed up with the internationally acclaimed platform jumper Little Triangle and the first installment of the Isoland mystery series (since then, two Isoland sequels have been released and a prequel is in the works). Recently, in addition to Mr. Pumpkin 2, the studio has been trying out new directions with titles such as A Long Time, A Foreign Land of Us, Dad’s Monster House, Tales of the Mirror, and One Way.
